New Free Story Coming Soon!

As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve decided to shake things up a bit and give this little newsletter community a bit of a holiday present as we enter into 2026.

Those of you who are subscribed to my newsletter (thank you!) know that, upon signing up, you receive a free flash fiction story from me: “The Distance Between Us”, my sci-fi story about enduring friendship. That story has been in place for all new subscribers for all of 2025.

I’m changing it for 2026.

December 31st will be the very last time “The Distance Between Us” is included on the Welcome Email. Starting in January 2026, there will be a new story as the subscriber bonus: “The Intrusive Thoughts of Maggie LaFontaine, Revolutionary”

Maggie thinks a lot of things, but she knows those thoughts are best kept inside her head. The gears and metal where her hand used to be remind her of that every day. But when she is asked to create the mural for the newly appointed Imperial Governor, Maggie’s thoughts spill out into actions with consequences more far-reaching than she could have ever imagined.

But don’t think I’ve forgotten you, already-subscribed folks!
